With Caution: There is a moderate drug interaction with Buspar (buspirone) and topamax. In moderate interactions it is recommended that one avoid the combination and use it only under special circumstances. The combination can cause central nervous system and/or respiratory depressant effects especially in elderly or debilitated patients. Patients should be warned to avoid activities where such effects create danger.

Buspar/topamax: At therapeutic doses, they are fairly safe if taken apart, ex. Buspar (buspirone) in morning and topamax at nite. Report any adverse effects to your prescribing doc.
