Does pot bring on: the SVT? If so, don't smoke it. Marijuana routinely increases heart rate in anybody who smokes it. This is pretty benign when people are younger and have no health problems, but as we age, we tolerate this tachycardia less and less well. Those with a history of SVT or other arrhythmias would be at greater risk.
