A member asked:

I have pots so my standing in place hr ranges between 100-140. on a couple occasions its gotten up to 175. how do know if its normal sinus tachycardia vs svt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If your heart rate measurements of 140 & up to 175 are accurate, these exceed simple sinus tachycardia. How long do these very rapid rates last and are they very symptomatic which would make them very significant? What happens to your BP at these high rates? I think it's important to determine accurate heart rates & the nature of the heart rhythm during these rates by wearing a Holter monitor
