A member asked:

What to do if i have shin splints in both legs and plantar fasciitis in both feet at the same freaking time! how does this happen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Need more flexiblity and foot support. When muscles in back of legs are excessively tight, muscles and tendons at front of leg have to work harder to flex ankle while walking: especially when running. Excessive tension is also created at plantar fascia. Initially, ice/ rest will be helpful. More supportive shoes and inserts/orthotics will also help. Stretching exercises will increase flexibility.
