A member asked:

What to do if i have been told by my urologist i need to have a suprapubic tube installed how is this done?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Suprapubic tube: A suprapubic tube is placed between the pubic bone and the belly button. It is a procedure which can be performed as an outpatient with general anesthesia and sometimes local with iv sedation. You need a suprapubic tube if you cannot urinate normally and some prefer this instead of catheter in the urethra
