Ask questions: IUGR is a label for the fetus that is not growing as big as expected for dates. It can be due to genetic, infectious, metabolic or structural reasons. For many, no real cause is evident, but most are followed closely as pregnancy progresses. It can be that the placenta is not working well.If it works poorly during pregnancy it won't do well during the stress of labor. C/S delivery may be needed
