See a dentist: See your dentist. If it is just a small canine, then a crown could build it up to its correct size. If it is a baby tooth, then you have to decide if it can be saved and crowned or will be lost.

Small canine: Often when the baby canine does not exfoliate (fall out) it's because the permanent canine is impacted and out of position. You're 38, this should have been investigated with x-rays when you were 12. Sounds like you should be asking your Dentist for a referral to an Orthodontic Specialist who can make your smile spectacular as well as dealing with the canine situation.

PA x-ray: Periapical x-ray and examination by your dentist will determine if it is a permanent tooth and what kind of the treatment is needed. The good news is there is always a solution in your situation. Take care.

See your dentist: and with an exam and x-ray they should be able to determine if it is a permanent tooth and how to treat your problem.
