Possible: Merkel cell tumor is a neuroendocrine tumor of skin first described by Toker in 1972. Its most frequent ite for development is the Head and Neck. May be polyoma in origin. The tumor appears as a nodular intra cutaneous lesion that can involve the eye-lid. The tumor is very aggressive and must be treated as such if this is what a biopsy shows a nuber of other tumors can occur in the eyelid.
