Probiotics: The intestinal flora and the interactions of various organisms is often not easy to predict and the introduction of Saccharomyces and Lactobacilli or other bacilli and which takes over will depend upon multiple poorly defined factors, and whether the patient is also receiving antibiotics for other reasons. There seems no contraindication to taking both, but simply eating Yogurt is quite effective.
