Spine?: If you are thin, it is probably the spinous process of the vertebral body which is part of your spine. If you are having pain, then it would be wise to have your doctor examine you. Good luck.

Yes: Yes, if you are worried about it I would not hesitate to be seen. There are a number of possibilities. The spinous process of C7 T1 are usually quite prominent in that area and feel like a bump. Benign processes such as a sebaceous cyst that can a bump as well. A simple exam would likely determine the cause.
