A member asked:

I've been taking flucloaxcillin for 3 days, because of a infection in my neck, it's still here.. how long does it take to go?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Staph infection: That depends upon the type of infection, whether there has been abscess formation requiring drainage or other surgical intervention, the sensitivity of the Staphylococcus to flucloxacillin, the dosage and frequency of administration, as well as other factors. Your question obviously cannot be easily answered. Generally, however, Staph infections require prolonged therapy.
