False positives: Variability in results depends on method of test, interpretative skills,patient symptoms. It is not perfect.If gb ejection fraction is low in patient with biliary colic , chronic gall bladder disease /biliary dyskinesia probable. With acute symptoms non visualization of gb means acute cholecystitis, surgical emergency.False positives prolonged fasting, tpn,alcoholism, recent narcotic, pancreatitis
