Yes: If you have pseudo gout it can cause pain and swelling and an MRI is not needed but you can also have a meniscus tear- may need arthroscopic surgery but results are not as good in those with pseudogout

Despite drain,shot, meds and ice knee still not back to normal at 6 weeks. Usually back to normal in 3 days. Tear as MD suggested? PA caused it?
