Official xray report: Sounds like you have either a delayed union vs. non union of the bone. A delayed union is a fracture that still has the potential to heal though it may take up to a year or so to do so. Bracing and a bone stimulator can help. BUT if the X-ray shows signs that it is a non union then it is unlikely to heal without surgical intervention. Xray criteria for each condition are well documented

Nonunion: if it has not healed at 6 months and the plate is firmly in place, bone graft or bone stimulator or both may be needed no way to tell without looking at X-rays
