Safe: Claritin/loratidine is a very safe medicine to take. It is used in children. It would be very unlikely to have an allergic reaction to claritin (loratadine).

Unlikely: Claritin (loratadine) is an over the counter antihistamine that does not cross the blood brain barrier and in therefore non-sedating. It is unlikely that you would develop an allergic reaction to a drug that is specific to treat allergy.

Claritin (loratadine) allergy?: Always discuss all of your medications with your doctor, including over the counter medications. That said, it sounds like you've taken this med before, with no untoward reaction, so risk of developing one now is less likely. Of course, there is always possibility that one will have an allergy or untoward reaction to a medication. Talk with ur doc abt ur meds & anxiety. Anxiety tx may help.
