Depends on...: Treatment depends on extent of the curve, skeletal maturity, physical condition, weight. Many things go into determining appropriate treatment. You need to work with a orthopedic spine specialist. Treatment could range from physical therapy to bracing to surgery - wide range of possible interventions.

Depends: Scoliosis treatment depends on the severity of the curve, as determined by clinical examination and scoliosis XR. Minor curves are followed to skeletal maturity while more severe curves are treated with bracing or surgery. The shoulder pain may it not be related. The boy should be evaluated by a children's scoliosis specialist
