Abruption chances: First of all, I am sorry for your loss. The risk for a recurrent complicated placental abruption in your next pregnancy is about 33/1000. Special surveillance would need to be undertaken about 3 months prior to the gestational age of the baby you lost due to the first placental abruption. Best of luck to you.
