Abruption causes: Causes of placental abruption include sudden deceleration, such as in a fall or auto collision, as well as direct trauma to the uterus. Cramping after pushing a door is more likely to be from straining of the abdominal muscles. The round ligaments, which connect the uterus to the pelvic wall, may also cause a cramping sensation. If there is any bleeding, this needs exam by your doctor.
