A member asked:

Does normal emg (single fiber and repetitive nerve stimulation) completely rule out the possibility of congenital myasthenia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NOT immune part: Myasthenia is an immune attack against the muscle succinylcholine receptors. Immune attack cannot be seen on the EMG; only the muscle damage can, which is not immediate. By the way, MG is just one of MANY abnormal neuromuscular conditions.
