Not necessarily: Fatty liver disease has become one of the leading causes of liver disease. If your AST and ALT are normal, then the treatment you are taking may be working. This includes weight loss, diabetes control, avoiding toxins such as alcohol, some medications. I do not think your slightly elevated bilirubin is from fatty liver, this could be coincidentally Gilbert's syndrome, a benign enzyme deficiency
