Should be: Ice u'r foot. Keep it wrapped. Wear comfortable shoes that are not too flat-have good arch support. And take slip in orthotics so u can use in u'r military boots. Stretch the feet also.

Foot sprain: Yes, possibly. Stay off your feet as much as reasonably possible to give it a chance to heal before your basic training. Best wishes!

Needs more time: I have had to deal with sprains personally a number of times. I like using an an elastic ankle support that you find at almost any drugstore for at least 3 weeks or more. The sprain is from a partial tear of a ligament. At this stage it is more susceptible to another tear. As long as it is getting better, you should be able to return to full exercise tolerance by the time you are back at camp.
