A member asked:

Had a pap, dr. says quite inflammed. i also bled alittle. he says most likely not cancer just an infection. what could cause this?! im worried

Not likely cancer: You could have a yeast infection or an infection called bacterial vagniosis which is an overgrowth of bacteria, neither of which is sexually transmitted. STDs such as Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Trichomonas can also cause infection and inflammtion. I would call your doctor and ask for clarification. Cervical cancer would be very unlikely in your age group
