Take the medication: Take any regularly scheduled medication (for diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc.) on your regular schedule unless advised to do otherwise. You may also continue taking your multivitamins and other nutritional supplements.

Take medication : Your husband should take his cholesterol medication as usual before his implant surgery. The medication will have no adverse effect on his implant treatment and he needs it to stay heart healthy!

Ask surgeon and MD: Always get medical clearance and instructions from your Physician and your Surgeon. Much depends on the type and time of the surgery and if it involves extractions. Cholesterol meds can easily be skipped for something like this without risk. Good luck to him.

Unlikely to be prob: Highly unlikely that cholesterol meds will thin blood enough to cause a clinical issue. I think you are fine in taking it. In any event, any real or presumed side effect to be avoided would necessitate holding such an agent 5-7 days before hand simply given the pharmacokinetics or chemical personality of these agents' metabolism.
