?Pyelonephritis?: In kidney infection (pyelonephritis) there are invariably small abscesses that form in the renal parenchyma (kidney tissues) that take some time to begin to resolve. It is possible that you are infected with an organism that is resistant to the antibiotic (you haven't said which), or are receiving an antibiotic in too low a dose or one which does not penetrate adequately. Have you been cultured?
