A member asked:

Went to my doctor appt and was told my urine sample had white blood cells in it. had pelvic exam, no infection. what are some of the causes for this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inflammation : White blood cells in the urine can come from any part of the urogenital tract that is undergoing inflammation or irritation due to infectious or noninfectious causes such as urinary stones. A few white cells are an insignificant finding. More than few (pus) should be investigated.
