OTC Pain Mx: Take Advil, Motrin, Aleve, Tylenol (acetaminophen) or what you would normally take for a headache.

Dental pain: Usually caused by infection of teeth, gums, or both. To eliminate the symptoms you have to treat the cause. Until you can get to see your Dentist, the best OTC pain reliever seems to be Advil/Motrin/Ibuprofen, followed by Aspirin and then Tylenol/Acetaminophen. Follow package dosage instructions to the letter. This will not cure, but will make the wait until you see your Dentist more tolerable.
