May be acne or not: A bump on the face that looks like acne is likely to be acne. If it was more reddened, more firm, and more tender to touch earlier in the day, but seems better, it might be going away on its own. Other types of bumps, like bug bites, can also occur. If the symptoms are mild, one can watch a few days and then see the primary or dermatology doctor if the bump did not completely go away on its own.
