Stop alcohol: The alcohol dried out yor skin without helping a me. Use light moisturizer along with acne cream as tolerated and avoid using alcohol .Otc creams can contain salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide or sulfur. The sulfur of salicylic acid will better tiered on irritated skin.

Acne: I agree. Alcohol can really dry out the skin. If used on an individual acne pimple it could help to dry out that lesion. However, salicylic acid gel is probably a better choice.
