Need more info: Not enough detail to provide reasoned response. Age? Sex? Known medical problems? Current medications? When started? Any injury/trauma/new exercise or unusual straining. Any fever, nausea, cough, URI symptoms, GI symptoms? Previous history of same problem? Worsening activities/movements. Relieving activities/movements/ meds. A shot in the dark without more information or a star trek tricorder.

Twisting pain in rib: On the left side, "twisting" pains, usually some kind of cramp, reflects colonic peristalsis (your colon trying to move some stool along). If you feel constipated, take a good laxative. The best one is miralax, (polyethylene glycol) 1 capful of powder in a glass of water or juice, once a day.
