See your Dentist: You may have periodontal (gum) disease. Puffy, bleeding and red to purple color is an indicator for this. Get an examination and proper diagnosis.

See a dentist : "purplish color" can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, gum disease also called periodontitis. Periodontitis destroys the tissue and bone that support the teeth and can cause tooth loss and tooth shifting. Periodontitis can also be transmitted to your loved ones via saliva. This condition needs to be treated by the dentist.
