Perhaps: Seratide is a combination of a long acting beta agonist (like albuterol but longer acting) and a steroid (cortisone-type). It is used to minimize attacks and like other drugs in this category, does work well but only when taking on a regular basis. It is not for rescue therapy. Reducing your triggers and regular use of a controller like seratide can give you long periods of asthma free living.
