Picture/more hx : It is difficult to diagnose rashes without seeing them or obtaining more history. Unilateral "dermatomal" (specific nerve route pattern) suggests shingles. This is due to the chicken pox virus which may remain dormant in nerve. I am unsure from just your description if this is the case - could be allergy to something or poison ivy. I would see MD
