No spinal cord injur: The reason you are not paralyzed is because your spinal cord is not involved. Injury to the spinal cord is what causes paralyzation. Hairline fractures are small and do not typically involve the entire bone, in the spine, they do not involve the spinal cord. Rest and time, physical therapy are usually the treatments for hairline fractures, depending on where they are and severity.
