Still safe...: The risk of death in the USA from pregnancy related causes is 2.8 per 10,000 women (.028%). That is due to the availability of c/sections, blood transfusions, antibiotics and excellent care. (100 years ago the risk was 1 in 4). C/Sections are still safe after 3 prior c/sections. There are some slight increases in the risk of complications but overall it is still very safe. Best wishes!
