What to do if i got some blood work done and my 'tsh reflex to free t4' came out to be 7.7?

TSH 7.7: Hi Yvette. Your TSH is elevated, so you almost certainly have subclinical hypothyroidism. I would predict your free T4 will come back within the normal range. Checking thyroid autoantibodies (TPO & thyroglobulin antibodies) will likely show evidence of autoimmunity. I would repeat the test to confirm, then start levothyroxine with a TSH goal of about 1.
