A member asked:

How common is getting hiv from a hiv positive person!? my partner told me he's safe but i was wondering

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV: You will not get HIV from an HIV negative person. This is only transmitted from infected persons to others by some form of intimate contact, commonly sexual. Go and have yourself seen in an STD clinic and tested, and begin using protected sex only unless your partner is tested negative and you are monogamous and trust your partner to do the same.
