Yes.: GFR is very accurate as to evaluating renal function. It is derived from your BUN and Creatinine Levels but includes other factors. 50 is marginally low. It could indicate early renal disease. See an internist or nephrologist.

Low GFR: GFR below 60 for > 3 months may be an indication of chronic kidney disease. As cardiovascular factors (blood pressure, glucose, lipids) are a major cause of kidney disease, these should be controlled. GFR also reduces with age.
