Normal range : There is usual a 15% variation in ECHO readings . EF is the amount of blood that leaves the heart on every pump. And urs is normal. There is always a reservoir of blood that stays in the heart. Sometimes thyroid disease can lead to higher EF's as can some other less common conditions. U should follow up with doc to review the final results

Probably not: Left ventricular ejection fraction over 55% is generally considered normal. Teichholz is one of several ways of calculating ejection fraction, and this information is given in the report to help doctors. Small deviations from normal range are usually of little concern. But if the symptoms that led to the study have not been adequately explained, then you need to consult further with your doctor.

Could be normal: Without knowing all the facts, it is hard to evaluate the single number. The bottom line is that 31 year old men whose hearts have ejection fractions over 55% and no other abnormalities of the heart or lungs, should have normally functioning hearts, no exercise limitations. But I don't know why you had the ECHO or what else they found. Best to ask your doctor to explain the whole test to you.
