Healing: Healing varies from individual to individual and varies greatly with difficulty of surgical procedure, medical history, aftercare, etc. Please call the surgeon who removed your teeth, explain your symptoms and ask to be seen to have the site reevaluated. This is part of routine aftercare and the responsibility of your own dentist. Who can better answer your question, internet dentists or your DDS?

See your dentist : tooth extraction is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Pain, swelling and infection following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. Your symptoms could be a serous problem. See your dentist or an oral surgeon for post-op appointment and treatment.
