Fever: You obviously need to see a doctor and begin an organized workup. The possible causes would fill an encyclopedia. If it is related to the sex I would look at Epstein-Barr, cytomegalo virus, hepatitis B/C, chlamydia infection of the prostate. herpes, tuberculosis. If foreign travel, malaria.

Few different things: Einstein Barr and Cytomegalovirus which cause Mono; Hepatitis B or C, Human Herpes Virus 6, Chlamydia, gonohorrea and syphylis-but the last 3 are less likely with u'r symptoms. Also would suggest outside of the infectious disease realm as the actual sexual encounter may not have been the cause, but around the same time something else was brewing. Just a thought.
