Duloxetine 240mg??: The max FDA approved dose of duloxetine (or cymbalta), an SNRI, is 120mg (60 X 2). While a doc may recommend outside the FDA guidelines, that sounds awfully high. Perhaps there's been a miscommunication. Call your doc's office to resolve this before taking. For mild - mod depression try exercise, yoga, meditation. Avoid isolating -- spend time with friends & family. Ring ur doc re: dose.

High dose Duloxetine: I have never had to go beyond 120 mg per day. Safety data are not. available above 120 mg. Most mild depressions do well on 30-60mg per day. Raising the dose faster or higher will not speed up the recovery. It is possible that he or she meant to start you on 30mg and gradually increase it to 120. Sounds like you should discuss this ASAP with your prescriber.
