A few days.: Ranitidine does not last long in your body. If you stop taking it, then your stomach acid will not be reduced after just a few days of stopping it. If your problem has resolved, that will be fine. If it has not, however, then you will either need to resume it or take a different medicine to reduce acid. Good luck.
