It can get better: Trauma is the sort of thing that gets carried around and built on if it is not worked out. When that happens, a situation like you describe can occur. However, it does not have to stay that way. Understanding how each bad thing adds to what came before, and learning to understand and separate these events can really help you see yourself and your life differently. Find a good therapist.
