Please make sure: Your child is not ever exposed to cigarette or other smoke, even if its on someone's clothes. It could also be allergies. Consider having a pediatric allergist see him. Exposure to cockroaches or pesticides or mold could be a factor as well. Finally, in at least one case, a young patient of mine got significantly better drinking only organic milk.

Immune work up: A three year old with recurrent infections of the sinuses, ears and lungs, may have an immunodeficiency. Preliminary screening with iggs is only a starting point of a work up. It will be helpful to the immunologist to have a complete white blood count, immune antibody responses to vaccine antigens and a total cd4/cd8 count.
