A member asked:

What conditions other than lymphoma cause swollen painful lymph nodes in the groin that do not respond to antibiotics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Metastatic tumors: The nodes in the groin are the sites or inflammatory or neoplastic spread from anterior abdominal wall, lower extremities from foot to thigh and the perianal area. If enlarged painful nodes dont respond to antibiotics, one must look for a possible lesion on the abdominal wall, leg or perianal lesion. If primary not defined then biopsy is essential.
