Likely not a problem: Dear Sharmeen, Unless you have had surgery on your uterus, it is unlikely that the lighter periods mean anything. Some women have light periods, some have heavier. Changes in the pattern of flow over time are usually not an issue either. The amount of flow does not predict the thickness of the lining. If you are really worried or if you are not pregnant after 6 mo, you can do an ultrasound
