A member asked:

Have pain in both of my elbows. actual bones don't hurt, but joints do. pain radiates to lower arms, again not actual bones. still worried... cancer?

Not likely cancer: Symmetrical joint pain is not likely to be cancer. More likely is some type of inflammatory problem, arthritis or tendinitis. See a healthcare provider for help if it does not resolve with simple measures like anti-inflammatory medication.

Bursitis/arthritis: Elbow pain is not a sign of cancer at your age! it can be due to (1) bursitis (inflammation of some soft tissues around your joint) which is generally caused by overuse of the joints (such as playing tennis) or by friction over the joints (such as leaning on your elbows on the desk at work). (2) arthritis (inflammation of the joint) for which you need an X-ray and visit a Rheumatologist.
