A member asked:

Are nose bleeds common with sinus infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really: Sinus infections are in the face and therefore in most cases do not cause nose bleeds. However, sinus infections always start in the nose and certainly the inflammation in the nose can lead to epistaxis (nose bleeds). But in general sinusitis and epistaxis are two separate entities and usually unrelated problems. See an ENT doctor for further evaluation.
