Can a sinus infection or a common cold cause any dry mouth? or even cause your body to produce more saliva than normal in the case of nasal drainage?

Rhinosinusitis or common cold can cause dry mouth because you tend to do mouth breathing during sleep with those condition. Nasal or post nasal drainage has nothing to do with saliva production by my opinion.
