A member asked:

What is best option to remove tumor on illiac crest?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Resection: most tumors situated on the iliac crest are sarcomatous in origin, that is bone, cartilage, fibrosarcoma et. al. If they not too large, that is under 10 cm.,en-block resection is employed. If larger and resection performed then radiation should follow. If final path shows lesion possibly metastatic then PET/CAT performed and chemo may be added
